I also like knowing that they're made from recycled materials and are fair trade and all that good stuff. Like one of the other reviews said, after a point you do see the imprint of your foot on the material, but that really doesn't bother me a whole lot. If you wear sandals all the time, the rubber soles on these will hold up really well.
