The footbed is very wide and really protects the side of your feet. It is also very soft and conforms well to my feet. Those sandals finally came apart after years of wear/abuse. I searched for and found these. They offer the same design with a more fashionable look. They are a bit expensive, but if they last half as long as my original pair, they are worth it.
